Interesting article. I do hope he will do well in the Australian and that every aspect of health care will have been thought of.

Have to say I am a little surprised that the Australian authorities have let Querrey travel given how strict they have been generally.

Very sorry to read all that. I hope there are no possibly long-term, hidden side effects of the virus being in his system.

Boulter and Konta out - though Boulter taking a set off Osaka is a good sign. Evans through

All play at Melbourne for Thursday suspended due a positive test of a hotel worker. Going to be hard to complete the various competitions now, given a Monday start for the Australian Open

Thank  goodness Andy and family have all fully recovered. I hope that will give them a good level of immunity and that there will be no residual health effects in the future.

Also good to see thatEvans won that tournament.

Yes, it was a big win for Evans, his first ATP tournament. Surprised to see that Auger Aliassime has not won one yet and that his loss to Evans was the 7th final he has lost.

Russia wins ATP Cup easily and Medvedev is the player in form for the Australian on a 14 match winning streak.

The lack of year end tournaments for the women make form pretty impossible to tell much about form, but a good finals win for Barty in her first tournament in a year. Andreescu through in 1st round after her first match in 15 months.

Very exciting 1st round match coming up between Shapovalov and Sinner. Sinner has won his past 2 tournaments.

Konta pulls out of her match through injury, Watson through, and Francesca Jones out - though Jones qualifying at all is a great story.

Norrie beats Evans who looked tired after his tournament win. Nice to see a win for Kokkinakis after long period of injury.

Double bagel win for Barty, after her tournament win at weekend, and the pressure on her to win her home Grand Slam is growing.

Excellent match as hoped yesterday between Shapovalov and Sinner, with Shapovalov taking it in the 5th set.

Andreescu, Kvitova, and Venus Williams out. From the report of Williams playing on with a further injury to finish a match, one has to suspect that this is her last Australian Open.
