The fall of women's seeds continues with Svitolina. 7 of the top 10 out.

Looking at the ATP rankings, Medvedev has a decent chance of getting to the number 1 ranking in the next few weeks, and could even do it at the French. I doubt outside of tennis fans, very many could name him from a photograph.

NS, I hope that watching the tennis has been a bit of a distraction from your unwelcome medical news.

I turned on Five Live Fridayevening and listened to the fourth set of men's semifinal, then turned off. turned back on a bit later and since the match had obviously finished, I assumed Jokavic had won.

I have just listened to the end of the Final's first set tie break, so will wait for a while before turning on again.

Thank you, Susan Doris. For once I didn't see too much of the end of the French as we had a packed weekend away
I see Djokovic has mentioned the possibility of the Golden Slam which would I think make him the easiest  argument in the male game for being the GOAT. It feels incredibly unlikely still.

Great win by Draper over Sinner yesterday.

Excellent win from Evans. Murray up next, tough match against Paire.

And it's a very odd match, crowd have gone flat as Paire is playing almost disinterestedly, but it's not easy to play against as it feels like a practice session. Paire is doing a lot of very good drop shots which is giving Murray's hips and groin a good work out.

Paire just not playing for this. He's just given a point to Murray that was called out, but was in. He and Kyrgios are similar in being outrageously talented but not having the strongest mental approach. I do wonder if there might be some idea of him having some of the money being taken away as a fine, which would be a shame.

Murray wins 6-3 6-2

Berettini - the number 1 seed next

I heard Murray's name mentioned briefly but I forgot to find out more. Interesting to hear that Evans is continuing to do well.

Draper and Norrie playing this afternoon at Queen', lots of British interest in the doubles. Quite fun yesterday to hear John Lloyd jokingly complain about no longer being the last British person to win the mixed doubles at the French Open with Joe Salisbury winning last week.

Intriguing match at Halle with Federer playing Auger Aliassime

Win for Norrie over Karatsev. Played well but Karatsev had a fall that seemed to give him a problem but Norrie was already up a set and a break.

Draper wins. The memories of Andy Murray's emergence at Queen's are triggered.

Good day for British men in the singles at Queen's, bad day in the doubles with only Norrie progressing, and that on a match where Salisbury was on the other side.

Evans wins, Murray loses. Berrettini played well but unusually high number of unforced errors from Murray. Moved well but looks unsurprisingly rusty.
