The salacious details are uninteresting but the corruption of public money by the corrupt lying thug racist PM are important

This and Cameron's corruption below and no comments on either, depressing that so many just accept, or by silence support the obvious corruption

Both cases are corrupt, and I see the reports today about a Tory donor lobbying for a PPE deal: the Tory party are a mix of incompetence, self-interest and outright corruption.

The only question for Johnson is whether it was just corrupt or actually criminal.

If the reports are true then perhaps the previous investigation should be reopened in light of new evidence, as suggested by this lawyer.

Quite an interesting discussion (with Rachel Shabi) on this mornings Adrian Chiles programme on 5-Live. Centring around normalisation of corruption.

If everything has been "fixed" you need a mighty big lever to shift it.

Yes, I fear it's just accepted, even if it is criminal.

That accusation is utter bollocks.
I am focusing on it and what the problem might be. Of course difference mealy mouth exaggerating the importance of being true to oneself has allowed a Johnson through unchallenged.
it's taken three posts to drag you from your strawman of distraction.  But for your own good let's just concentrate on the utter corruption of the Tories, and the UK govt here.

We know and agree the tories are utterly corrupt and we know that they have been enabled for over a decade by the voters. That means that society not just the tories seem to want what the tories are offering.

Since you use the term 'Utterly corrupt' this can be seen as a moral issue facing society. That is what we need to concentrate on. How it happened to society and what, if anything can and is, being done about it is worthy of discussion.

And that as you know is disingenuous bollocks.

They got a thumping majority on 43.6% of the vote.

That is not evidence that society wants what the Tories are offering.

And that is only about  30% of the electorate. Add to that voting for a party doesn't mean you know or approve of everything that is carried out by people in that party.

And those two things in there own way are obviously part of the problem. Another way of looking at it is that the largest group of voters wants the tories and a large people are happy to let them in unopposed.

As for those who vote but don't know or approve, Do they care what they are voting for as long as it is tory?

Johnson says he acted with integrity during affair (not quite sure how that works), and runs away.

It's getting  very difficult to keep track of corruption and allegations of corruption in the UK govt.

Anyone else surprised that Boris the Liar would spend £58,000 of his own money on work on a property that; a) isn't his, and b) where his long-term use of isn't guaranteed?

It stinks.

Poll today finds 40% think that the Tories are corrupt:

One feels compelled to ask what the fuck is wrong with the other 60%?

According to the latest Guardian piece the cost of these renovations could be around £200,000 which makes it even less likely that a temporary occupant of this (presumably) government-owned flat would pay this from their own resources, evening assuming they had this amount to spare.

I would be nice to think that this, along with the other instances of corruption that are crawling out of the woodwork, might bring Johnson and his government down.

Electoral Commission thinks there are reasonable grounds to suspect an offence has been committed with regards to Johnson's flat:

It is worth highlighting that the last independent adviser resigned because Johnson rejected the finding that Patel had breached the ministerial code, and that if Johnson is found to have breached it here, it is then up to Johnson whether he accepts it, and then any sanction he would impose on himself.

A fucked up system for a corrupt fucked up PM in a corrupt fucked up govt.
