As mentioned earlier, the Women's Convenor of the SNP is now confirmed in Alba.

As, however, is Tommy Sheridan - hmmm....

Strange combination....Sheridan's a bit of a Marmite, and the Kirkaldy MP was only recently reinstated after 'anti-Semitic' tweets......

Sheridan is another candidate for the title of a Scottish Farage.

I think Neale Hanvey made a mistake but unconvinced he's anti semitic. The interesting thing though is both the Epqualitis and Women's Convenors, Lynn Anderson and Caroline McAllister having crossed the floor.

I'm not really bothered about McAlistair...I rermember she was pretty scathing about Nicola at a meeting way back in 2014; there's obviously something there beterrn them.

Well Sturgeon being more worried about some trans activists leaving the party rather than death threats to Joanna Cherry may be part of the reason. It is not just Caroline McAllister. If you put this just down to personality, you are missing what is going on.

ISP are withdrawing standing. They were standing on the issue of gender reform/women's rights

This thread has been created from posts spilt from the 'Salmond denies sexual misconduct allegations' thread in that the discussion there moved towards the impending Holyrood election, and though initially there maybe some crossover this election involves wider issues so this thread has been created so that the original 'Salmond' can be used for any subsequent legal developments regarding that case.

Simon Jenkins on a possible way of derailing independence. Sounds a little far-fetched to me. But then so many things that happen sound fantastical, so what do I know?
