In the end having your snout in the trough is always much worse than having your dick in the snout

And the corruption continues

My father used to say you could be two of three things, and ONLY two, Alive; A Politician: An Honest Man,

It would appear that we now know which two applied to Mr. Cameron.

Some weasel-words from Cameron that don't stack up: he says he could have acted differently but that he did comply with the rules seems contradictory - if he knows he should have acted differently he implies there was an alternative approach he could have used, which would presumably be the rules that don't include under-the-radar access to senior politicians and officials.

I am so fed up with all this. The government has normalised corruption, misinformation and disregard for the rule of law.

The people, at least in England, seem in the main either to be happy with this, or ignorant of it; and will if indications are correct give the Conservatives a mandate at the local elections to further disfigure local politics with their blatant bungs to Tory held areas.

One wonders what will happen when the money dries up to supply these bungs.

Much too cynical. There are plenty of honest politicians, even a few on the Tory benches. Kenneth Clarke and Dennis Skinner (whatever you think of their political views) spring to mind, the two longest-serving MPs until the last election.

'David Cameron says there are ‘important lessons to be learnt’ over lobbying procedures; for example using a pseudonym or wearing a fake moustache'
