I haven't watched TV in about five or more years but if the "Some Mothers" show has not been re-run what is the point of getting uptight about a programme thirty years old?

'Eck....they'll be going bananas about the shenanigans of Andy Pandy, Looby Loo and Teddy as they closed the lid on that basket after every episode next.....
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

You're right! I wondered for years what those three got up to after the lid closed! At school, some interesting combinations were discussed at length and in disturbing detail! And not just by the boys either, in fact, in that regard, the girls were far more inventive!

Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em was one of the most culturally destructive programmes ever to be aired.

It was as a direct result of this programme that (what seems to be) a majority of the population of the United Kingdom lost the ability to pronounce the word harass correctly.
