Keep returning the tablet.

Yet again, the so-called 'Museum of the Bible' hits the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Another artefact bought illegally, seized by the authorities. I'm reminded of the Sekemkha statue - now sadly sold by a misguided English museum to a private buyer. The statue is a beautifully carved image of a seated scribe. Hobby Lobby's owner, Steve Green, tried to buy it, claiming that it was actually Joseph, despite the fact that Sekemkha's name is carved on the shoulder (the norm for these Old Kingdom Egyptian figures), and that there is not the slightest Biblical connection. At least his lot never got their hands on it, even if, sadly, it is no longer on public display. As an aside; why would an avowed Young Earth Creationist like Green want a tablet which relates the Gilgamesh epic? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-57992957?at_custom2=facebook_page&at_custom3=BBC+News&at_custom1=%5Bpost+type%5D&at_custom4=E26078D4-EF88-11EB-AC2A-A3E315F31EAE&at_medium=custom7&at_campaign=64&fbclid=IwAR34wMT5usJVk1EHBr5p0LdmCQyWwlhe7PoadLChenha2Hofw7lKVSHihGU
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
