On the one hand you people dismiss all ideas of Consciousness being external to the brain as nonsense. And then you also expect a comprehensive and 'all loose ends tied up' theory neatly presented to you on a platter for your perusal.
This is just the beginning. Long way to go. Several models and several hypotheses are bound to be presented over the coming years and decades. Some of them will survive and develop. Some will die out. Just like in all other areas of investigation.
Better and more suitable methodologies will develop and we will get a more integrated idea of what life and the universe is...... unlike the disjointed theories of today that rely almost entirely on random physical events and have no place for such fundamental features of life as consciousness and life experiences.
