'Right, no worries'

I prefer the nicking of what purported to be the stoner of Destiny friom that wooden chair in Westminster Abbey by Ian Hamilton and his pals.
Now, THAT's gesture politics.
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

By the way, Magna Carta's not really worth the oink it used to write it.
Which version were the protesters citing? The original, or the rewritten version which the English made, writing Scots claims out of the document?

No idea, meanwhile in Australia, someone was trying to use it as a defence against using a mobile phone while driving charge

For understandable reasons, it was never incorporated into Scots law, since the pre Union legal system remained separate from that of the RUK.

"Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain? Brave Hungarian peasant girl who forced King John to sign the pledge at Runnymede and close the boozers at half past ten! Is all this to be forgotten?" - Tony Hancock, 'Twelve Angry Men', with a nod to whichever member of this fine forum has the first part of that as their signature.
When conspiracy nuts start spouting their bollocks, the best answer is "That's what they want you to think".
