This is why we cannot have The Thick of It anymore

https://skwawkbox.org/2021/08/22/starmers-new-slogan-is-literally-wtf-seriously/

It's beyond parody - I wonder who the bright spark was who never noticed the 'WTF' problem.

We need Malcolm Tucker more than ever these days.

I think the Skwawkbox lot are being a tad disingenuous here.

This is where they got it from:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/aug/21/keir-starmer-ill-paint-a-picture-of-my-vision-in-primary-colours

Starmer did say it but it doesn't sound like an ongoing slogan just part of a sentence. I may be wrong, of course, but I can't find a reference to it as a slogan anywhere else.
Plus the Skwawkbox have had it in for Starmer since the sainted JC left.

I'm not defending it because I think it sounds clunky and ugly and far too American for my liking, but there is a bit of mischief making going on.
Before we work on Artificial Intelligence shouldn't we address the problem of natural stupidity.

Isn't this what politics is all about!

I wish I could remember who the politician was who was once quoted as stating that the truth had no place in politics - I think he was American and I can't find a reference on the net.

The Holy Bible, probably the most diabolical work of fiction ever to be visited upon mankind.

An it harm none, do what you will; an it harm some, do what you must!

Thank ceiling cat for that. Now I've read your post and the Guardian article, I've got back to the original and it is obvious that the WTF sign behind Starmer was photoshopped in.
