We're not at the semi finals yet. We're at the last matches in the 4th round but given those left the numbers above will be correct. If by Moray, you meant Norrie, then he beat Tommy Paul to get into quarter finals where he will play Goffin.
Thank you.

Little gem of a match into 5th set and 3-3 all between Garin and De Minaur
Garin takes it 7-6 on the Champion's Tie Break. Back from 2 sets down and saving 2 match points.

Norrie through. A cracking match.

A shame.

Leaving Kyrgios in the final ... also a shame.

I heard on a Five Live news that Morrie had won the first set so I'm pleased it was not too easy a win for Jocavic. Was it a good match to watch?

After Norrie's performance level dropped off in the 2nd set, it was a bit meh. Looking forward to Rybakina v Jabeur today. Didn't think Rybakina would have beaten Halep, never mind so easily. Jabeur is a delight to watch. Interesting that Rybakina her moved her citizenship 4 years ago from Russia to Kazakhstan, else she wouldn't be allowed to compete this year.

The lack of points has caused a couple of oddities, not least Jabeur will drop 3 places despite getting to her first semi final and final in a Slam.

Struggling with the Djokovic v Kyrgios match up. In some ways, hope they both lose.

Norrie is a great player but just couldn't match Djokovich's precision and endurance after he'd properly warmed up.

This is a long but interesting and informative read about tennis umpires:

Murray out to Bublik, though since he had looked quite injured at the end of the previous match, better than I was thinking.

Raducanu and Evans into their respective quarter finals. Norrie into his semi final where he plays Auger Aliassime whom he has never beaten, but who has been a bit off form of late.

Elsewhere in the Silicon Open Gauff beat Osaka in straight sets.

Meanwhile Djokovic not allowed into Canada because of his lack of vaccination status so out of Montreal, as are Nadal and Zverev with injury.

In the end, quite an easy victory for Medvedev over Norrie. Given the likely absences, late returns from injury Medvedev looking good to defend the US Open. Though Kyrgios who is back in another final is definitely on a major return to form, and also moving up the doubles rankings.

Kyrgios wins his first title in 3 years. He also won in the doubles and with no play last year, and sporadic okay this year is now the 20th ranked male doubles player. Should he win his first round match in Montreal tomorrow, he will play Medvedev in the 2nd round!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/62460625

Draper and Murray in first round matches in Montreal later today.

Rain delayed much of Montreal matches yesterday, so Murray, Norrie, Evans and Raducanu all due to start matches today. Draper resumes match 1 set up.

Serena Williams win her match, her first win in over a year, though in only her second match in that time but she's made clear in interview that she may well be finished with tennis soon. I suspect the US Open will be it.

Draper, Evans, and Norrie through. Raducanu, and Murray out. Murray looked a bit lacking in confidence.

Draper, Evans, and Norrie all win. Big win for Evans over Rublev, and huge win for Draper over an out of sorts Tsitsipas.

Kyrgios beats Medvedev, and looks the current form player. With Alcaraz, the sevond seed out, it's a very open field now.

Serena Williams lost to Bencic, and it looks as if the US Open may see both Williams' sisters play their last singles matches.

Djokovic reliant on an exemption being granted by Biden if he is to play.
