I suspect there might be a higher number of 2 attempt successes today as the word is very close to a popular start word.

I would never have thought of it without my cheat software.

There appears to be an issue today with 2 correct answers, one of which is much more obscure than the other

Wordle 242 3/6

🟩🟨⬜⬜⬜ GY---
🟩⬜🟨🟨🟨 G-YYY
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 GGGGG

Yesterday's word
(As seen) I'd found the three greens, then struggled to complete the word. Eventually (for round six), I used a crossword word finding website and finally found the word that I entered.

I don't think I've ever even seen or heard that word anywhere before.
In fact, I'm barely sure it is a word. I've checked four proper (i.e. printed, English) dictionaries, only one has the five letter word, the other three only included the word as [blank]phobia.

The kerfuffle deepens

https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2022/02/heres-how-the-new-york-times-changed-wordle/

The NYT is removing some words which it deems unacceptable for people to type in. It's also Americanising the spelling of other words.

What's happening to the word, 'irony'?

Annoying today - after my 3rd try I could see 3 possible solutions - and of those I then chose the wrong option, twice.

Only one wrong guess for me, and in place early enough that I had space for a few more guesses.
