Had a go at this after reading the op a week or two ago. I trust the creator knows that it's just a less good recreation of 'Word Mastermind', which was a less good variation of the original 'Mastermind' board game which used coloured pegs, and dates from the early 70s. (As you can see, it had a highly sexist and racist cover design - typical 70s.) I entered a word and got a few coloured squares, but had great difficulty thinking of another word that fitted. I tried a random jumble of letters, just to try to get a few more letters, but it wouldn't let me do that. I then gave up, and went away and sulked.
