I had no idea that the Marcos dynasty wasn't finished.
They seem to have hung on to their cronies and much of their looted wealth, Bongbong Marcos has been active in politics for many years - seems to have befuddled the electorate using historical denialism and social media influence. Seems that "strong men" gaining power using distortions of history and populism is quite the thing. Duterte was not any better.
