It comes as a shock to learn that it is now 40 years since the release of Steven Spielberg's wonderful ET.
I have seen this beautiful film lots of times and each time its charm and its humanity never fail. Its anniversary is being celebrated by a special showing at the best cinema in the Midlands - the Regal, Evesham

I've avoided seeing ET for 40 years. Here's to the next 40.

Lovely film - saw it in the cinema when it first came out with my, then, 5 year old daughter - saw it most recently, about a month ago, with her daughter: my 6 year old granddaughter.
