Brexit is to blame of course but we have the double whammy of institutionalised tax evasion at least from social responsibility which IMV was what reduced Greece to a basket case, there though it looked as though many ordinary folk were in on it as well. Here it's taking an endemic institutional form.

We need to tax profits more.

Brexit - yes, but that itself was only a symptom of corruption within the UK politics/government.

Funny that Johnson is now proposing rapid acceptance of EU membership for Ukraine, itself still riddled by corruption, as a solution to their problems. And, despite having been sponsored by Putin's Russian oligarchs, - taking every opportunity to escalate the war.
