I entirely agree - this arse has been put in position because of his stupidity. The aim is to spark anger and ire at his, superficially "man on the street" but ludicrous, declarations, but directed at him and his supposed "red wall" followers - leaving the rest of the thieving, incompetent, and "careless" bunch free from the brunt of opposition and public scrutiny.

This twat seems to be a dinosaurial fuckwit - still, his appointment might aid the demise of Scumbags-R-Us (formally known as the Conservative and Unionist Pary).

Thanks, I think I've sorted it out now, so hopefully it is working...? (It did  work for me, I use Firefox, don't know who is using it or why it isn't working 🤔)

While I am not a fan of 30p Lee, I think the outcry about his support of the death penalty a bit odd. I don't see that his support for it should preclude him being deputy Chairman of the Tories.

There are quite few ways can vary from party to party. If an MP votes against the party's policy they get their whip removed (& can't stand again in that party, until they do get it back).Even the Tawdry party's policy doesn't  support the death penalty (well this gov'mt doesn't). So far it's  just something he's  said, not something  he's  campaigning for.If there was a sudden vote, he could be kicked out the cabinet, but probably not the party (if he votes in favour, but there are loads of ifs, which seems unlikely).

I would suspect any vote on the death penalty would not be whipped in the Tories. It's not certainly not party policy to do so at the moment. I still don't see why his view would preclude him from being deputy chair of the Tories

Oh err

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/lee-anderson-libel-food-banks-b2281282.html
If you'd watched The Last Leg (on Ch4 last Friday), they worked out that his 30p meals were based on a chef cooking meals for a vast number of (charity?) recipients*.
About the only ways he'd be sacked would be if he announced that he had no confidence in 'that short-ar$ed <insert racial term here>, or voted against a three-line whip. About the closest that could (/ have been/ was etc) be was Truss' fracking vote, so there are plenty of ifs but it does seem unlikely  (for now).* - IIRC it was 170 people. My guess would be that in total it would  (c) £50, possibly including the heating, but probably not his wages or any rent.

I've received  an email stating that marriage allowance will be cancelled  on the 5 April 2024. So now the tories love cutting taxes and they're  quite fond of marriages. But now they're  going to scrap a tax bonus that is (was/ will be) for married working people, just before a general election?

Don't  they just really love self- flagelation?

I can't find anything on line to suggest that the marriage allowance is being scrapped. Are you sure it isn't some sort of scam?
