Makes me sick - let's not celebrate the 'coronation': lets hope one day we get to celebrate (and I hope I'm around to join in) getting rid of these useless fuckers and their archaic and dysfunctional institution.

The upcoming pantomime, and the gratuitous sychophancy, already makes my skin crawl.

Whether or not we scrap the monarchy (and I echo Gordon's sentiments), this could be the last British coronation. Most European monarchies got rid of them years ago, and William and his advisers might decide to follow suit. It isn't necessary, as the new monarch is Queen or King as soon as their predecessor snuffs it.
