I wish they'd change either the blue or the purple squares to red. They are quite hard to distinguish.

No, I know they are different events but in the UK I've never heard the animal one referred to without a word in front of it, and sometimes only by the word in front of it.

Yes, but if you used the full name, you wouldn't have the overlap with one of the other categories.
