Vote of No Confidence in Lorna Slater
« on: June 20, 2023, 02:09:38 PM »
Following the collapse of the Scottish Deposit Recovery Scheme, a Vote of No Confidence in the minister, Lorna Slater of the Scottish Green Party. It was signed by all the Tory MSPs but indications are that Labour and Lib Dems will support it.

Be interesting to see if any SNP MSPs do - suspect Fergus Ewing might, and whether there are abstentions, possibly Ash Regan, and Michelle Thomson.

Greens are claiming that it is misogyny, and some of them that it is disableist as Slater has ASD.

And apparently Slater survives, only 1 vote against party linrs, Fergus Ewing voting for it. No abstentions. Be interesting to see if any action taken against Ewing.

Looks like Ewing will have the whip removed.
