Stiffkey in Norfolk (sometimes pronounced "Stewkey") was previously best known for the defrocking, in 1932, of its Anglican rector for consorting with prostitutes in London (He claimed, perhaps truthfully, that he'd been evangelising them), but has now hit the headlines again over an improvised bridge, which the National Trust, in the bullying style which has become typical of it, removed.
