I've often thought of the contrast between the glamour of the Strictly Come Dancing Blackpool show with everyone desperate to get to Blackpool and the fabulous ballroom, and the state of the town.

A horrible place.

I've been three times in my life. Once when I was a child to look at the illuminations, once for a Union conference, and once for a weekend break. On the latter two occasions, it did not impress me at all.

Used to go regularly as a child. It had s raw excitement then. Been twice as a grown up, I concur with your lack of impression.
