Which life choices make you happy?

Before my husband and I married in 1969, we had made plans for our future together. As we were young when we wed, he was 22 and I was 19, some of the plans were rather naive. However, adopting our son who has Down's Syndrome has made us all very happy. We consulted our three birth daughters first, and with their agreement we went ahead. We adopted our son when he was 16 months old, we are all so glad he is a member of our family.

Assuming the word "made" should be in there. Two recentish life choices havre made me happy:

1. Moving to Bristol

2. Stopping full time work.

Meeting a young woman one evening at a social event and within two weeks choosing her to be wife (which she became ten months later).

With her approval and support, at the age of 30, becoming an undergraduate student at the University of Reading. That choice resulted in changes to my life that I could never have forseen.

After 34 years my wife was cruelly taken from me by cancer but my children and grandchildren are constant reminders of my choice.

On Hogmanay 1973 I first met Ann, and by the end of February 1974 we were married (around 7 weeks after we met) - and we still are!
