Perhaps, when the storm has passed and the damage is manifest, one of the candidates will point out that he would have prevented its damaging effects by destroying it with an atom bomb.

Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks angels have the power to deflect  bullets (she's seen them do it) but apparently not hurricanes.
These spiritual powers seem awfully limited. Okay for finding contact lenses etc, though.
