Hi all.

I'm Julie, I'm $% years old  ;)

I've been looking in on this forum for a short time and decided to take the plunge.

I'd like to believe there's a God but I remain to be convinced. Maybe one day!!

I'm look forward to joing in the debates.

I'm Betty. Some of you may remember me from the original BBC board. I used to post there a lot, but I couldn't get the hang of the format of this board, so didn't continue here.

Thing is, I came to realise that posting to you guys brought a lot of positive benefits. It made me think. It made me reassess my own ideas constantly. It introduced me to new ideas. I found that I was less 'sharp', less critical and less articulate. I want to get that good stuff back!

Bear with if I'm a bit clunky at first; I'm out of practice.

Used to be active member on the BBC forum until ill-health prevented my continuing participation. Coming to end of chemotherapy and hope very much that I will be an active contributor during 2012.

Did you have a different name on the BBC forum, Elevenses?
So glad you're feeling positive and looking forward to recovery.

Hello Betty and Elevenses81

Nice to have you both here!

Betty, I remember seeing you posting on Beeb, but don't think we actually 'spoke' much, glad you are joining us here now.

Hi Elevenses, hope you are well.  What name did you use on the Beeb?  (If you want to let us know, if not no probs!)

I hope you can too.

How long ago were you on the bbc board and which topics were you involved in?

Hello Elevenses81.  It sounds like you've been through a gruelling time.  I hope you find some light relief by playing here.

Hi Betty, thank you.

I chose my name after the Star. It was one of the few star names I remembered from from my youth. As a lot of young lads did, we dream about walking amongst the stars. I think the Latin translates as 'grape gatherer' It always stuck out as I remember reading it was a Yellow Star which always reminded me of our lovely shiny globe :)

Hi Everyone,
I've been missing the the BBC Religion and Ethics boards recently, and found myself this afternoon registering here. I don't know how much time I will have to post, but it's nice to see that life goes on.
