How do you do that, take just one part from a post, is it the same as the old BBC forum, hold on hold on, quotes with square brackets

Hi I used to post on the BBC boards. Was in a big debate with Blue a few months ago which I meant to continue then my Mum became ill and subsequently died giving me other priorities. I logged in to the BBC boards on the last day it was open with 10 mins to go and no idea it was shutting down - wot a shocker! Anyway hi all I'm a broad non-traditional theist with pantheist leanings, although that depends a bit on definitions...

I don't draw from one particualar tradition - culturally christian background with a big respect for buddhism, i tend to mostly but not exclusivelty celebrate my spirituality through neo-paganism.

Thank you! Ive got the hang of it mostly, I think.  I'l try and work out this weekend how to put my picture of tap-shoed feet avatar, but I might leave that until my computer tutor is here next. (He was here yesterday and took a new photo for my web site!)

Actually, no, because Dolphin advised me right from the start that it is better to have IE set to 'ignore colours and fonts'. I have the magnification on nearly all the time and on my screen there is an area of about one-twelfth of the total window. Voice on all the time of course.
What is the background colour of the screen for you?

Not only that, but you can display an image from anywhere on the Internet by getting it's direct address, clicking on the Image Insert button and pasting that address between the [ img ] tags that appear...

Et voila...

Hi Blue - good to see you! I'm so pleased that so many people from the BBC board his migrated here. Lol I'll have to have a look although I imagine that all the issues will come up again - probably best to let it start up again naturally which it surely will in the course of some discussion and we can pick it up from there rather than having to reread all of that. Anyway talk soon im sure :D

Wow, Gonn, one of the great religious paintings, and it's in Glasgow, isn't it?  I think it cost them ?8000, now worth ?60 million!  Quite unusual style for Dali, not so surreal.

Morning full member, yes it is a very beautiful painting, on so many levels, anyone who visits the Kelvingrove art museum stands and stares at this painting for ages, when I look at it I always think, what kind of mind, what was he thinking about, was he on drugs, or was he in fact filled with the Holy spirit.

Of all portraits, "Christ of Saint John of the Cross" is thegreatest, IMHO.
What gets me is the lack of nails.
He chose the Cross!

I could never do the painting justice, I agree with Jim, for me it is Glasgows most famous and beautiful work of art.

Q: When you are looking at a thread with quotes and nested quotes, is there any difference in the font or colour between the quoted partsand the answers? It's quite tricky to work out, especially as, as far as I can se, the last quote before the answer is not indented - or rather the answer is not further to the left. It's not really a problem as such, and I can sort it out, but it would be interesting to know.

In Gonnagle's post above yours,  the nested quote is in a pale blue box and the reply box surrounding it is a slightly darker blue and beneath it is his reply to you in standard colours.
