Hello I'm also from the bbc boards. I'm a bit confused about how to use the site. I can't see a 'reply to this message' button. How do you reply to a specific message?

I'm also an atheist who was raised Catholic. Questioning what I was raised to believe to be common sense was at first confusing but my life was improved by it. I enjoy having my beliefs challenged. Particularly those I'm suspiscious that I was conditioned to hold.

My interests change constantly but right now at this minute I'm interested in hearing challenges to merits of democracy and the belief that all humans have a conscience whether they choose to listen to it or not. I was raised to belief both were obvious and indesputable facts.

I read more than I post and enjoy hearing strong opinions that strike me as bizarre.

Thank you all. It seems to have been obvious to everyone but me. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually.

I've been checking around the boards and they seem to be more active than the bbc ones were. More messages as a result of always being open? 6pm always struck me as an irritating time to close. I'm not sure whether I'll enjoy having more activity on here or find myself swamped though. I've been having trouble finding a thread to post on because there are so many messages on them to read. I'll have to keep checking so I can get in on new threads...

Would it not be wiser to encourage people to use Quote? That way we can all so who they are replying to as Reply doesn't provide that information. What do you reckon?

I once visited Wales, Cardiff, U2 concert, no sheep, but there was the lovely Debbie, ah body of an angel, what that young lady could have done for my ego, what did I do, got drunk and fell asleep, bloody guys going round the concert with lager pumps strapped to there backs, happy memories :'( :'( :'(
