So the mystery solved. But you weren't the Lyn I was thinking of, Brownie. In fact I didn't know you were Lyn.

I doubt Trent was thinking of Lynne, she doesn't post on the same forum as Steve and I or hasn't for a very long time but, having said that, it won't be the first time people have got the 'Lyn/Lynne/Linda/Lyndas' mixed up.  Yes Trent, my name is Lyn but I only use that on St Thads.  I was Victoria Plum for many years but reverted to my given name because of the TV advertisements for new bathrooms  :D.

I was thinking of Lynne - but that's only because I wasn't aware you were Lyn! But no matter. We have a new member - break ou the bubbly! ;D

Yes!  Though he would probably prefer real ale.  I hope he breathes a bit of life into the CHristian topic and the Religion and Ethics sections, we've been so bogged down in politics recently (understandably).  It's good to see some of his poetry though.

Greetings.  Thanks for approving my membership request.  I am a 65 years old man living in Hemel Hempstead, U.K., a liberal anglican (Paul Tillich/John A.T.Robinson type liberal), a postal worker, a pipe smoker, a cyclist sometimes, a real ale lover, divorced, and a member of the Labour party.  I have in the recent past been a member of the Green Party, and stood for them in the local elections in 2011, and if Labour gives Jeremy the boot, I'll be back off to the Greens like a shot.   I was told about this forum by a friend on another forum who there is called Lyn, but I don't know whether that's her user name here.

Hi Sprocket,

I think that was the name you posted under when we posted together.
Sponsered you on one of you charity rides. Hope you are well glad to see you here.
The Lord just brought that name to me and I feel it is you in my Spirit.
Welcome.

Sassy.

Welcome to SwordOfTheSpirit!  Good to see you, another Christian poster - I am making an assumption that you are the same SotS who posts on St Thad's sometimes (you will tell me if you are someone else  :).  So do I, I'm Lyn and Sprocket is here too, under his own name of SteveH. So is Flying Finn only he is Ad_Orientum on here.

Look forward to seeing you post.  I think it is good here, very stimulating;  a real cross section which makes for some interesting discussions.

Hi.  I don't know you under your present name, but I have done charity bike-rides, so I probably am who you think I am.  Where did we post before, and who were you then?

Hi, all.
By some miracle (thanks to Gordon) it seems I can acess R&E - for about the first time in about a year, it seems I can use the board.
To quote Granny Weatherwax;
"I ain't dead yet".
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Could have been NoGreaterLove or 4Church with Tecki been some time now.
I often wonder what happened to Jon and the others.
Revelation use to have a forum too but they closed it. Still have Mikes email not thought of them for some time. :D

Hi everyone
My name is Walter, I've been reading your posts for about a year now and today I thought I'd join in the fun.
So just a little about myself.
I'm of a certain age, un-PC, highly self motivated, sexist, homophobic, misogynistic, misanthropic, with atheistic tendencies.
I shall try to incorporate as many of these virtues into each of my posts, however if I fail to do so, please don't  hesitate to inform me. I wont be offended.
So, I hope we can all have fun together and I look forward to meeting you all,

Walter
