A big forum welcome to Christine who has already posted in the "Where is Everybody" thread. I hope you find something to entertain you here.

Thanks so much for the welcome.

I'm sixty-four, married, mother of four sons, grandmother of five and live in Florida, USA.  I've been a part of a forum that branched off the Beeb years ago, and have made good friends with more than a few.

Currently trying to maintain peace of mind in this terrible time of plague (yes, COVID-19, but the other one too that begins with the letter "T"  :-\ )

Not a very good Christian either, even though my favorite person in all the world is Jesus.
I wonder now if the most intelligent being in this world is actually a virus.  Me

If you're who I think you are, you're going to find this place a lot more vicious than the other one! Welcome, anyway. (I'm 'Steve' on the other one.)

It is bad enough a country having to suffer one plague, but to have two, as does the US, is much, much worse. I hope you enjoy posting on R&E. :)

 Hi, Flower Girl, and welcome.
What IS a 'good Christian', though...I'm still trying to walk that road.
Adrian Plass, in his book "Why I follow Jesus", says
"One of the reasons I follow Jesus is that He's not as po faced as some of His followers."
Works for me!
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Is a good Christian one that knows they're not a good Christian, perhaps?

Moderator As the thread is about introductions, further posting about the comparative 'viciousness' of the board will be removed as a derail.

It is good to see someone contributing who is not based in the United Kingdom.  We have Sriram and Ad-Orientam giving us perspectives not necessarily originating  in Great Britain. Welcome.

Thank you.  Although, I should warn.  Some family members here say I've changed, and they blame it all on me spending too many years making friends across the pond.   ;D
