What happened to all the Jewish contributers?
Maybe the 'Darthism' thread scared them away? :-\

I think they were already gone before the thread was opened. But moving it to Religion and Ethics, or to Ethics and Freethought might be nice, if it's still in the Jewish Topic area?
Maybe 'discourages any returners or newbies' would be more accurate then?

I can't see anything specific about hyperlinks in any of the settings that we could turn on, so I've asked Jakswan to have  look at what options there are, if any.

Gonnagle told me so.

I think Shaker will be able to help there, I think he has the option activated on his site nglreturns.

Anybody any suggestions why my lap-top won't let me use smileys or in fact any of the facilities on the reply page?

I've been trying for about a week to get a sound only or you tube or something of 'One singular sensation' from Chorus |Line. A screen comes up with a column of you tube links on the right hand side, but a blank space where the you tube should be .... but no music. Anyone any idea why?

I need to put the music on to a blank CD - for tap class, naturally!

thank you - much appreciated. I tried that and it came up with the screen I described earlier so it must be something to do with my computer and IE. I'll get tech to  check tomorrow.

For a while I have had difficulty getting the smilies to work, and couldn't use the bold, italics and fonts, but suddenly today I can use them again. Has anyone else had problems, which have been sorted without any apparent reason?

Dammit. Do the smilies still work? I'll have to fix that.

Smilies only work if you write something funny. Maybe that was your problem?

Jeremy or Gordon

today I tried, for the first time, switching the router off, then on, when the notice 'This page can't be displayed' came up. I had been going from page to page with no problem, but then between one click and the next, up comes the notice.

So as it worked once, I tried it again later this morning. I wonder if you think that could be the answer to the problem? If it is likely, I will get my local Tech chap to advise on a new router. Does that sound like a good idea?

tbh I'm not sure that would resolve the problem if your IP address was still the same, and we know that changing the IP address can work when there are access problems. I'm sure I sent an email a few weeks back for you to pass to your IT guy setting out how you could try this.

I'll check and will re-send the e-mail.
